📘 Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

⏰ School Hours

• Monday–Tuesday, Thursday–Friday: 8:40 AM – 3:00 PM

• Wednesdays: 8:40 AM – 2:00 PM (Early Release)

🏫 Morning Arrival

• Student drop-off begins at 8:20 AM.
• Please do not drop off students before 8:20 AM. Staff supervision begins at 8:20.
• If you need care before 8:20 AM, please make arrangements with our Extended Day program.
• 👉 Students may enter the building and head to their designated areas starting at 8:20. Breakfast is available in the cafeteria at this time.

🕒 Afternoon Dismissal

• Dismissal begins at 3:00 PM (2:00 PM on Wednesdays).
• Carline begins at dismissal time. Please display your car tag visibly and “announce” on the PikMyKid app.
• Walkers and bikers will be released at the same time as the carline students. Please wait at the biker/walker gate for all students.
• All students should be picked up promptly.

🚌 Bus Information

• BusPlanner Guide for the 2026–2027 School Year
• We encourage all families who utilize bus transportation to create a BusPlanner account and download the Chipmunk app. These tools will provide the most accurate and up‑to‑date information regarding bus routes, stop locations, and pickup/drop‑off times. Our Transportation Department will also send reminder notifications throughout the summer.
• Please keep the following important transportation dates in mind:
  • Thursday, July 30 – School bus routes released to families through BusPlanner and the Chipmunk app
  • Wednesday, August 5 – Bus route rehearsal
  • Monday, August 10 – First day of school

A reminder that all bus stop locations and times will be available exclusively through BusPlanner and will no longer appear in Home Access Center (HAC). If you have not yet set up your BusPlanner or Chipmunk accounts, we encourage you to do so before routes are released. Setup instructions can be found at: stjohns.k12.fl.us/transportation/busplanner.
